This question came in my mind and was curious to find out: What Are You Getting For Christmas?
I'm getting a Gamecube with the 4 free Zelda games, and a copy of Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. Now alls I need to do is ask for a memory card.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
HAPPY B-DAY JESUS :D :D :D

I'll probably ask for a few specific music cds. I don't want to ask for much, because my parents are currently saving up to buy me a new computer sometime early next year, and I want to make sure that happens asap. ;)

Mmm... money. My mom is letting me go to Chile to visit my good friend who moved away. Thats pretty awesome, especially since I'll be at nice beaches with my friend, instead of huddled in my house staring at the screen with sleep-deprived eyes.

darn it ciarin, you made it not materialistic =p
well, I am getting a new laptop, cause my last one could be used as a coffee maker. I think 4 years out of a 2 year old machine is good. It is has been through a lot and held up, except when a ball baring in the hard drive slipped loose and whiped it clean (:().
oh and my bro is getting me LDoN, and I am getting him a three piece samari sword set.

I have absolutely no idea, and I like it that way. I know what I asked for... but that has little or no relevance to what I actually get. At least not in past years. *grin*
I also go to great lengths to misdirect and otherwise muddy the waters of other people's queries as to what I got them. My most prevalent answer is. "NO." and a glare. ^_^
I dont really like asking my parents for stuff for some reason. But I will get Ldon, ill ask for a sword, dagger, or katar which i know i wont get cause my parents dont trust me. And i need to shop for more clothes, and thats really all i need. Maybe some food lol. Was suppost to get a comp last year but my brother said he would buy me a better one if i waited 3 months and got my grades up. And i did, got my math grade from an F to an A- but of course he was broke and has stalled ever since. oh well. And dont say crap about an ancient comp. This one im using now is 90mhz hehe.

I believe that I'm getting a new couch for my place. My current one looks like one big cigarette burn courtesy of the roommate. Now, if he does a damn thing to my new one, he's bloody well paying to get it repaired or replaced. =0)
And he knows it. =0)
After that, I believe I'm getting some GC games.

Hehe... what I would like... hmmm.. I'm thinking a digital camera. And a table warmer for my massage table.
Besides that, I just want a magical kitchen fairy to float down from heaven and bless me with the ability to cook Thai food that would make kings and angels beg. Barring that, hopefully some Thai cookbooks.

The folks at Sigil are giving me a trip to San Diego; THAT'S a cool christmas present.
And, I got a new wallet which I desperately needed.
And, a new cell phone that's most excellent.
And, a mini digital recorder for my trip to Sigil so I won't have to jot notes and rely on faulty shorthand.
And, the store gave me a new single strap Roots bag, with a hat, and a new CD player in it for buying the phone from them. **nods**
And my fans have showered me with donations. And that's awful nice. Sure they do it every month, but still...

Let's see. Main thing I'm getting is a combination fax machine, printer, scanner, and copier.. money, of course.. and hopefully, my dad will come up and visit.
I've already used some Christmas money my cousin gave me to score some nice, cheap games.. Grim Fandango (Lucas Legends or something, ten bucks), Fallout: Tactics, and Tribes 2 (Holy crap, this game was 12 bucks).

id like that violent as hell videogame where you shoot people, rob cars, use people as human shields. cant seem to remember the name of the game. also LDON and a fungi tunic for my monk would be hella awesome!
edit: no its not GTA3 of GTA:vicecity, it just came out i think and you can see it on TV ads
The only thing I know I'm getting for sure is a tin of cookies from my grandparents in Albuquerque (they send one every year). Other than that, I have no clue.
I did order myself a few more One Piece DVDs, though - my favourite anime! Also decided to give Naruto a shot.

I think the only thing I'd want for Christmas is a new dining set. We've had this one since our kids were still in booster seats and its definately seen better days.
What I get will probably not be anything too fancy.. My parents always send us a little money and we usually just treat ourselves to the most recent movie (our anniversary is two days before christmas)

EDIT: DaMarc, that game is called True Crime. :)
and I want a tin of cookies for x-mas :(

Isn't that movie long enough? Jeez, I almost fell asleep near the end!
Wacoms are so neato. I want a TabletPC (Laptop with wacom built into the LCD)... they're kinda neato, the PC is basically nothing but a monitor, wacom, and the guts (which are "under" the monitor) -- so it's like a book.

i think im probobly the only 14 yr old who doesn't know what he wants for christmas
I realy don't care in the end, sometimes i get things i realy wanted, but the end up sucking
and sometimes I get stuff that i think i'll never use, but i use it ever day. Like i got a Plain black Pen from Whistler B.C. in about 1999 (when i was 9..i guesse) and i still have it right infront of me as im typing...
I guesse what im saying is, the best part of christmas is the surprise, and having a good time :)

haha, some college money would be better If I can have that instead. If I can really have what I want though, Id probably ask for artistic talent!! Id love to be able to do artwork like Luis Royo. Id ask everyone in my multigaming guild to describe their characters and Id draw em by hand then scan and color it on my computer. but I suck so much its a sad pathetic joke.

Of what i know im getting for christmas is a Thermaltake Xaser 3 case and some neat UV cold cathode fan grills to go with it. its gonna look sweet i cant wait ^_^
and im planing to get my brother in law one of them remote watches. i still dont know what im gonna get my sister or my mom tho =/
I get a lot more joy out of giving Christmas presents than I do getting them. I always remember how excited I was at Christmas when I was little and now I have 3 little ones to get all worked up just the same.
I love to see their eyes light up and hear the thank you's stream out.
It's even more fun to peek at them playing with the toys and using their imaginations to make "bases" and "forts" out of boxes and furniture for all their little army men and Star Wars guys and Lego robots.
And to play with them. By their rules. A kid's imagination reality where your 4" action figure can jump from the floor to the top of the footstool, and scurry up the leg of the table to battle the bad guys in their meticulously setup base in the floral arrangement.
I love Christmas time. :D

I'm getting the best christmas present ever: 4 weeks of vacation. Oh yes!
On the technical side of things, I already got myself a Radeon 9500 and overclocked it to a 9700 pro (just because). The bazaar is lagging faster than ever now.
On my wish list is part 5 of Stephen King's "Dark Tower" series and lvl 60 for my SK main. With aformentioned vacation that should be doable.
Did I mention my 4 week vacation already?

I have no idea what I'm getting for Christmas, but on the material side of things I wish I was getting an Alienware computer and a PlayStation2. I will also have my eyes roll back in my head with joy if I recieve gift certificates for books! :D
I'm giving a LOT of art supplies and books to my child, and a lot of gift certificates for book and music stores to other folks. I'm also giving food, blood, and some household items to folks I don't know (and feeling very thankful that I am not in the position of needing such things from them instead).

Unfortunately we're getting nothing for Christmas this year. Between neck surgery, the transmission on my car going out (right after the warranty ran out of course) and the house flooding (with our 1100 dollar deductible) we just have no money this year. So our 3 1/2 year old is getting some Hot Wheels cars and little train cars. Everyone else is getting a hearty "I love you" and a hug. Thank goodness our son is still too young to be really disappointed with the lack of big presents.

I will be getting a new computer. Actually, my kids will be, and then I wil tkae it and give htme my old one. All the games they want to play will be usable on my old machine (533 p3 with 256 ram). That and a new minimag flashlight to replace my old one that was ruined.
Those are the two things I know. The rest will be a surprise

You need a month off of work so we can EverQuest until we collapse, unable to Quest no more, Raven.
On the subject of giving.. I usually find myself buying presents for my friends, because there's really only a few items I ever want and I tend to buy them. Every day is Christmas for me. Unfortunately, when I finally went to buy something for Child's Play, all the Return of the King games had been bought.. so I got a nice Harry Potter books 1-4 box set for the kids. Because everyone needs to read Harry Potter.
This year, for my friends, I think I'll be giving out AOL CDs. I really don't like having friends.

Well, crap. I'm for sure not getting a Wacom for Christmas, so I have to amend my wishes.
What I want for Christmas is for companies to stop laying people off around the holidays, because that's what I got for Christmas last year and that's what my dad and sister got this year. I'm not pissed because I'm not getting a Wacom---eff a Wacom, mouse and pencil have been working for me for years---I'm pissed because it's so bloody effing heartless. EFF BIG BUSINESS.. grr...
Barring impossible gifts for Christmass, I guess it's back to wanting Thai cookbooks.

I dont know what I'm getting, doesnt really matter that much. I have to agree that giving is the best part. My family is hard to buy for but it makes it that much more special when i get it right. Like last year i found the sweetest pic of me n my sis at like 5 years old hanging on my dad at fathers day. I got it blown up, matted and framed for my dad, and he actually made us stop opening presents so he could hang it up in his office right then. Almost made me cry...

I dunno what I'm getting, but I'm giving my wife... ME. Coming home from South Korea, going to arrive in Los Angeles on the 23rd for the first time in over 12 months. Plus, I bought her a War Marshales Bladded Staff and a Black Bastardsword, built her a new computer with a case that I spent the last year modding, annnd I think I'm going to get her a mango. Or a kitten. Perhaps a pony.
I know.

Strange . . . I want an X-Box, but these are the conversations I keep having . . .
Me: "X-Box?"
Wife: "No."
Me: "X-Box?"
Wife: "No."
Me: "X-B.."
Wife: "No."
Me: "X.."
Wife: "No."
Hell . . . we walked by a display of them in the mall yesterday . . .
Wife: "No."
I'm getting her a white gold and diamond filigree ring she saw in a jewelry store window. You know, she made the little girl "ooooooooo . . . " sound when she saw it.

Welcome back to CONUS Mor'gruth.
Even though i think ill get ldon, ill get some crappy game. Last year my brother went to a game store in the mall, He was suppost to get me PoP he came back, i thought it was a little small. I open it, Roller Coaster Tycoon!!!! He only got it for me cause it was on sale for 5 bucks, it still had the sticker one it. What a jackass. (sorry for the language) BUT i found out something tonight. Ill give the background story. My dad is a Biotech Engineer at this one ghetto hospital near chicago. He has worked tehre mostly all my life. In the past year they havent been paying him as much as he shoudl be getting, which is like 42k or something like that. Trust me, that isnt much when your mom has a "job" that she gets barely anything from. Also to add to it my brotehr got in a car accident 2 years ago and his medical stuff was like 100k. My dad just applied to a job, which i hope he gets. And he will make 6k-20k more than he was suppost to get paid. So he said ill probably have a new comp by March. So this christmas the gifts are gunna be a lil low end, but oh well, BEEN WAITING A YEAR FOR A NEW COMP!!! Also i want my brother to get a better video card cause thats where i play eq at and his sucks.

if it makes you feel any better, I'm not getting anything for xmas, I only listed what I wanted but I never get what I want. I'll probably just get $50 which isnt bad, gonna use the $50 pre-order WoW and in 2 months I turn 20, should get another $50 which I'll use to pre-order HalfLife2. In a few months and I have some cash, I'll go buy the games I mentioned off ebgames.com preowned for really cheap. would be nice if I actually get a job though and or I figure out this loans/grants thing so I can just go to college.

To be honest I have no idea what my friends are buying me (have no family alive). I do know that they are finding it very difficult because I am moving OS next year to be with my partner who sends me perfume. The usual things I get are cooking related so I expect it to be the same this year.
Last year I put new swimming goggles in my stocking with my eyes closed so it would be a suprise. This year I don't know what I will suprise myself with.

I don't know what I'm getting, either. Course, I never ask for anything, and I usually end up with money and sex, so I guess I make out pretty well. My wife has vowed to keep my birthday (the 22nd) separate from Christmas, which will become increasingly harder later in life, but kudos to her for trying. At least she'll do a better job of it than most people do. I can't tell you how many times I've heard, "here ya go, Aaron...it's your Christmas/birthday present."
so far my bud, has hooked me up with a Nividia Geforce FX, Final Fantasy XI, and a an account...
He really wanted me to play the game with him. Feel so greedy sometimes, but I try to make up for it.
He once for some reason offered me 10$ a month to moniter the account he's paying for me to use... I would have to be some cruel monster to leech of a friend like that.
