Four short days after Activision/RedOctane announced 4 new songs for Guitar Hero III ("Through the Fire and FLames" by Dragon Force, "Suck My Kiss" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, "Number of the Beast" by and Iron Maiden and "La Grange" by ZZ Top), those evil bastards at MTV/Harmonix announced that Nirvana's entire album "Nevermind" will be made available for digital download for Rock Band shortly after the game is released.
The only thing that could be better than this news would be if someone made a musical out of Evil Dead.

I wonder if people would either welcome or be scared of a speed metal song on one of these games?

Guitar Hero fans have been clamoring for a Dragon Force song for just that reason. (You Tube 'em) Since RedOctane is putting one into GH3 your question is probably answered there.

I just watched the video to "Through the Fire and Flames"
I also just contacted my doctor about ways to prevent Carpal Tunnel syndrome.
O.o
They just announced 11 new songs for GH3, including Slayer's "Raining Blood", and that Metallica will have a song in the game (although no specifics on which song).
I've been iffy about this game ever since I read about how they were handling the GH 2: 80's expansion...but....it's....Slayer! If that song isn't on the final and most difficult set, I'm afraid to see what will be. I've been trying to learn that song on and off for 10 years on a real guitar, and there are still parts that are beyond me.
