I picked this book up a few days ago and finished it very quickly, as an Everquest fan one can really enjoy this book by reading of memorable places like Freeport and Oggok. The book is about a warrior who has a struggle with his inner nature to be a berserk fighter, when this fury leads to a tragic accident, he goes on a journey of self discovery from the darkest hidden depths of Freeport to the Jungles of the Feerott. The cast of characta pron the story is rather small but each one has a good amount of depth and involvement in the storyline. If you do not know much of Everquest lore, do not fear, for it is well explained in the way Reid writes. The book throws at least two major surprising juicy twists in the story that will leave your mouth agape, and has a few tearful parts for those prone to easily cry. All in all, I HIGHLY suggest this book for a fun, and quick read.
