If its been done, point me in the right place.

But ive played EQ a LOT, Cleric, Bard, Ranger, Magi, Wizzy, Necromancer, Monk... and as well haveing payed out for all the expantions ive got a desire for a change.

I Tryed to go back to shadowbane again, but i found the servers where so under populated it was horried, you could be online for hours and hardly come across anyone (off newbe land) unless you where in a big guild and most where not looking.

So that went far out the window, ive played AO and while i enjoyed it I cant see me going back to it and sticking, my Doc become redundent once the Expantion was relaced since PvP become a much greater aspect of the game, and well... she had NO defence or Offence skills. but she could keep anyone alive anywhere any how hehe. and while i did allways want to try a ... emm... mecanic (I think what there called) and have the Massive lump of metal to fight for me, im not sure i have the patiance.

then there are the others FFXI, DAoC and SwG are the ones that mostly pop into me head.

_____

(geting to the point)

what im wondering is what one would you all recomend from your experances as being a good way to go for someone with limited time (only a few hours at a time, and maby only 3-4 days a week if lucky hehe.

I hear FFXI is very good for people with short time limits but for the others im clueless, im not really a PvP type person so i tend to avoid it, unless i have no choice.

LDoN gave me some hope for EQ but i just find it can take 1 hour to get into/make a group and then time for the mission i feel like ive used all my time and done so little.

so Recomendations & advice would be nice.

just no 'because i said so' if you dont like what someone else recomends fine, but it wont change there mind, and it will only make your reasons seem less authroritive.

Thanks.

Just a guess but I believe you'll find:

45% will say play FFXI
45% will say play DAoC
9.9999% will say play SWG (no I'm not biased (still) /grins)

I however will say take a break from MMO's and play Deus Ex 2 (http://www.dxinvisiblewar.com/)

You can thank me later for the shameless plug. I will admit though I'm none too happy with the graffics engine but for a FPS RPG the gameplay is quite refreshing and good (now if they only made this game into an MMO we would be talking shear gold.)

Im one of the first 45% of FFXI prefered players. Its got a lot of depth and once you get to level 20 ish there are TONS of players around. Its really friendly just like EQ but more fun imho

I'm one of those 45% of players in the DAoC crowd. If you're a casual player, I'd recommend DAoC WITHOUT Trials of Atlantis. That being said, I think you can get the DAoC gold(Classic + Shrouded Isles expansion) and ToA for 24.45 from Amazon (less than I paid for ToA).

Most classes have no problems soloing. It's easy to log on, get something done, and log right back off. 90% of the quests can be done solo. I enjoyed them since there is really no camping involved, and most have a decent story line and a very good reward.

PvP in this game is by choice. If you choose to leave your realm, go past your realm gate or go to Darkness Falls (RvR dungeon), you do stand a chance to be attacked by enemy players. It's viable to play this game though and not get attacked by another player ever.

If you're still interested, I think one of the big computer magazines is giving away a trial version of DAoC (classic game without any expansions) in the next magazine. You may want to check www.camelotherald.com for more info.
