It seems like they found an investor. They have enough money to continue for the next 6 months, however, in that time they have to show commercial viability (in other words: increase their player base to at least 4000 players) or they're in trouble again.

Huan's announcement:

And a cute thread which shows the community they have going on over there:

Personally, I'm happy to see them hanging on. :) Score one for the small devs! ^.^

Good to hear. I haven't had much interest in RoE, but it seems they have a small, loyal following and the Devs seem to be very friendly. Hopefully they can increase their following/revenue enough to be able to continue on for some time.

well because of your link, i have to say i was... enticed to give it a go. nothing like a cute thread like that to make me interested :) and while there skill system seems very daunting ive made myself what thus far has been a very entertaining and rewarding necromancer.

(Gnome, Necromancers - heh)

and the game appears to have a lot of promise and i do hope that it will hold my interest over the rest of the trial as to hold me wanting to pay a monthly fee to play, and if things progress as that have i think it might.

certainly a nice little thing, and thanks for the link, else i may not have ever had chance to give it a try.

Woody Edit: Need to work on your spelling a bit there Salerk.

Edit 2:- Thanks woody for the corrections :) - i'll try to keep it a little less messy on the other posts :)
