A series done by Naomi Novak. A great series based in the Age of Sail.

Basically it combines history with dragons in a big "what if" scenario. Peter Jackson(of LotR fame) picked up the movies rights for this.

One of my favorites, has any one else picked it up?

The books move so darn slow. I got half way through the 2nd book and have not picked it up in 2 months.

It should make a good movie.

Side Note: It is yet another series that has dragons going from egg to full size in a matter of days...weeks... months??? NOT eons, not even years.

Read 'em, and they do become slow by the third book. The author penned quite a bit of the NWN storyline, and worked on NWN2 as well, I believe.

If you like fantasy and draconic-warfare, pick the first one up.

It definatly does slow down a bit. But the 2nd and 3rd books were kinda forced on her so that the series would quickly become a trilogy they could market.
