Okay, for those of you who missed my smart ass comments about nothing in general, I'm back. I'm living in Indiana with my new wife, new apartment, and soon to be declawed cat. Internet connection is new, too.

I'll have wedding pics linked as soon as I can get them up.

Woody Edit: If you're "back" then you realize that smart ass comments won't last very long here.

what is a hoosier, anyway?
I've heard some stories, none of which make any sense.

A hoosier is just someone from Indiana.

The origins of the term "hoosier" are wreathed in mystery. Some suggest that it came about when early settlers used a wary "who's here?" greeting as they travelled from one homestead to another. Others suggest that it comes from the habit that rivermen had on the canal of "hushing" their opponents. Here's a pretty exhaustive treatment (http://www.statelib.lib.in.us/www/ihb/emblems/hoosier.html)

But it's important to remember that Hoosier also refers to Indiana University sports teams and alums. (Purdue's teams and alums are the Boilermakers. Go Boilers!)

Anyhoo, welcome back Togashi. Glad you're settling in. Can't wait to see the photos! Hope my home state's treating you well. :D

Actually i think hoosier more closely comes from "Who's there"

Married life is fun. I think. Not sure...she works 3rd shift 7 days on, 7 days off, so we really don't get to see a whole lot of each other when I'm working too. Geez, I wish I had a 9 to 5 job.

Well maybe you country boys have the twang, but I'm from Indianapolis where we talked like normal people and not southern rednecks.
