Choppy sound

About a week ago, I was playing WoW and my sound began going choppy. I thought it was the speakers, so I got them replaced with one's from my parent's computer. It wasn't the speakers but the Play Control. I decided to check it one day, and there it was, the Play Control bar was jumping up and down like crazy.

Now, this is getting very annoying and I've found no way to fix this. Anyone have a solution?

What have you tried so far? (So that we dont ask you to repeat what you have allready tried)

So far, changing the speakers (Which, as I've said, has done nothing). Really, other than that, there's nothing I've been able to do, other than fiddle with the Play Control and have no effect.

have you tried updating the drivers?

I am sure your sound card has a website with updates ^_^
