Problem: Every so often when I go to play WoW my computer will reboot once I click on the icon or once I reach the login screen. It never started doing this till after I downloaded the game. I have the newest DirectX so I don't think that's the problem. I've tried re-downloading the game multiple times and nothing.
I've gone to the WoW Tech forums but they really aren't much help. So I was wondering if anyone here would have an idea on what I might be able to do to prevent this from happening again. It doesn't really bother me much. Nothing serious. I just want to make sure it isn't hurting my computer in some way or another. Thanks.

Without really knowing what your systems specs are, it'll be pretty tough to figure out. So when you get a chance post up your computer specs (the typical stuff - looking at DirectX log files makes me want to puke ;)) so we can take a better guess.

I'm assuming you're running XP, so take a quick trip and see what your event manager says. Right click on "My Computer" and select "Manage". From there you will see a bunch of stuff on the left side of the window, click the events log and check the application log for any errors. Hopefully, you will see an error message giving you some cryptic Microsoft error code. If that error pops up every time you experience your reboot you'll have something more to go on and share with us.
/guess mode off
That may not help at all, but I thought I'd at least try. Sorry, Friday's suck out what little grey matter is left inside my head.

With the information I currently have I would have to say WoW is Incompatable with your computer
or...
Let's start off with some basics, please list your computer's make and model. If it is a custom build, please post the output of a lspci from a bash shell.

I'd like to point you at this thread (http://forums.gucomics.com/viewtopic.php?t=6563) in this forum. Your problems seems to be similar, even though it shows in different games.
So, to sum it up a bit: how hot are your CPU and graphic card running in WoW, are there any other applications that show the same problem, etc.
