Quick apology for not getting that fight scene done yet... this week's been pretty brutal as far as workload goes.
But not to worry, because the weekend's finally arrived, so hopefully I can get some serious posting done... after I get some sleep, though :)

Navin was my only character

and every thing is OK. My dad has a mild stroke. his 3rd in 2 years. He lost site in his left eye for a day or two but its comming back, no other problems apparent as of yet.

genetic heart conditions... I have the same as does my son. Oh what we have to look forward to =(

Marlsiv will destroy the legions of elves (a legion, to my knowledge, is ten thousand soldiers), and then go on his ramapge, Abreniar will be hoisted in, and we all tackle the thing with weapons drawn and banish it to another plane.

Kay, well I have another idea. How about he turns the elves into demon slaves as he kills them and eventually creates a large army and wages war with the continent. And dude, where did 10000 elves come from? The original force was about 4000 and we knocked it down to 1000 after all the fighting.

Character Profile:

Name: Dink Spinwheedle
Class: Techno-Mage
Description: Dink Spinwheedle is the little nephew of Iggy, who had traveled out into the world several years ago. Having not heard from Iggy for several months, Dink decided to travel after him.
Dink is a bit selfish, but is very loyal to his friends.
Equipment: Wears several Gnomish gadgets, from a small rocket launcher on his palm (works up to an amazing 70% of times fired!) To a backpack that expands into a robotic suit. All of his technology is powered by magic, not steam or electricity of any kind.

Here's all the current characters and their locations:

Dune: east side of Graphanine, awaiting the arrival of someone so he can board Abreniar's ship and set sail for Baldaris to aid Rolden in the fight against the demons.

Arothl: with Dune.

Natalie (new char, found as a slave on Graphanine, Dune's wife): also with Dune.

Abreniar is at his ship, having heeded Dune's request to wait for this other person. Meri the succubus and the skeletal demon (sort of mini-chars of E_G's) are there as well.

Bryne, Mave, Orum, Vergil, Navin, Tandien, and Elaine (those last two are mine, and Navin is Mild Warlock's char) are all at a human fort on Graphanine, helping to defend against the elves that are trying to conquer the continent. Mave also has a baby daughter, named Silia, whom is with her.

Tristate's chars, Gustavius and his other guy (sorry, can't think of name at the moment :? ) are at Rolden's fotress on Baldaris, serving in his army against the demons. Rolden, of course, is at the same place, leading said army.

As for Bronin, GIC's char, he arrived on Graphanine not too long ago, and is looking for Dune, believing him to be the cause of the events that took place on Baldaris. Chander, his other char, is MIA atm, but GIC said he plans to bring him back into the picture soon.

There is also a mystery char that I have who, after getting help from Dune to break a spell the elves had on him to force him to be an officer of theirs, is racing to Dune so he can board the ship with him. He's the one Dune's waiting for.

Sorry if that's a tad confusing, but it's kinda late at night, yet I needed something to do. Also, forgive me if I left anyone out, I tried to think of everyone I could.

EDG, just so you're up to speed, most of the big battle has finsihed, save for the battle that is doing to take place between the big ol'demon and most of the people's characters. We try and tone down the overpowered characters. If you are going to PvP with another character make sure the other person agrees. That's really about it...it'll be interesting having a "retarded giant" around.

Here's the low down.

Ok, As Soon as Arbreniar, or however its spelled, Dune and them folks will be heading on over to Baldaris to hang with Rolden.

*Looks back at Soria*

Then, a raid will be made on Makee only to discover *gasp* the demons are gone! the city is looking perty good. The warders, Sune officials, dwarven leaders, and remaining leaders of men will have this big meeting on whatt is to be done about the demons.

*Glances at Soria*

They will decide to form hunting parties that will hunt demons all over the continent. The civilians are given bounties for every demon they kill.

Dune sends Vergil and company a letter that requests immediate return via Warder Magic.

Then we get back together, hunt some demons.

Then...

*pushes Soria away*

Then it has been discussed that we would fight undead hordes and eventually fight the dark necromancer that summoned them to the south. Of course Blue Tower Warders (and Arothl) will be all over the place kicking the snot out of the undead dudes.

And thats whats perty much going on.

All sieges are over at this point! No elf fighting, no demon fighting, as of now. There is a Demon fight on Graphenine, which is not where Rolden is. Rolden is on Baldaris. Dune and his trio are still on Graphenine.

There is a "devil" on Graphenine that Vergil's peeps are doing combat with.

The currently nameless elven officer is on his way to join Dune.

Nobody knows that the demon commanders are gone yet.

Rolden is returning to Fort Bynor, not Bynor itself.

Elves are dinks on Graphenine. Any questions!?

If this comment was directed at me, my post merely states that the captains were confused because the demons were beaten so easily. And while all the people were celebrating a captian wanted to talk shop tol Rolden, but he wanted to celebrate

Kork and friends are apparently heading west over the "eastern continent", while we are going East from Graphanine where we will land on the western shores of Baldaris in (currently) 3 game days.

And while i'm at it, ill cover the monster.

When we land i'm going to have Abry say he's gonna take care of it when Dune and the others leave, but as Dune and them go into the woods they are attacked by it because it has escaped the ship via unknown means (relating to its currently mysterious origin).

I can tell this about it: It is a creature of extreme power. It will not attack when Vergil or Abreniar are near due to their flaminess. It doesn't like flames/demons. So it is not a demon! So if Vergil or Abreniar are nearby it will not attack and will not be seen.

I will reveal more about it later on, but fore now, this is all you get.

I found a sword that looks like Rolden's. (http://www.mwart.com/xq/ASP/pid.1665/qx/productlg.htm) Can you believe that there is actually a sword that looks like it? I smell copyright infringement. But this is exactly how i pictured Rolden's Sword. I don't want to start anything about, "This is what my weapons look like" thing, but Rolden's sword is fairly unique so now you have something to go with it.

I was gone all day and sleeping most of this one.

Not to mention my room was much messier than when I went to sleep and had to clean it up.

My room is also in need of cleaning.

But anyways, back to ze action. I figured a long winter would set up some pretty cool visuals.

Riding through an aspen forest with snow up to the horses knees while heavy snowflakes fall all around them. In the semi-darkness, demons move through the snow, only their tracks are visible. Dune looks around as the snow gathers upon his shoulders. Mave keeps Silia bundled as they move slowly through the forest. Suddenly the demons lunge from the trees. the companions get seperated in the snow as there outlines become broken up as they dismount.

and giving the continent its own weather patterns makes it unique, and more opportunities for these dramatic scenes. Now that means after i say there's snow on the ground, it stays there until i say, "No mo' snow", so no grassy hill-sides, un-frozen lakes, snowless-boughs. Winter Wonderland!

And how would you explain the long winter? I'm guessing it has some effects from the maelstrom in there.

And I think snow up to the horses knees = slow moving and everyone has a cold. Except Abreniar and possibly Vergil.

partially maelstrom, partially destruction of continent (its gonna be longer than normal).

And there is a thing called winter gear, such as insulated stuff. And yes, it will be slow moving, but everybody having a cold: thats just having a weak immune system. Illness will be a factor, but your just being a pesemist (sp?) now. let me have me fun durnit!

The one with the demons: Very wary. Being Frontiersman they will not be very trusting at first, but once the group establishes there mission the villagers will be more trusting.

They will all be armed, even small children will have daggers or knives. The town will have a rough wall built around it and a heavily gaurded gate. There will be several villagers outlying with personal defenses. They will be very defensive fighters though since they are protecting there lives and their land.

When we get there i'll explain.

Its on page 1 of this thread, so go and check it out. Our destination is nestled in a very mountainous area. The map makes them look big and bad, but the mountains will be traversable by horse.

Current situation:

Combat:

With the demon generals gone, they no longer have a hold on the demon armies, which has caused them to individualize and learn and stuff that normal warriors would do. As such, they are more adjustable, adaptable and harder to fight and/or kill.

So, for this stage of the RPT, try to have the fights like you're fighting yourself, more skillfull and powerful and such. My last post (the one with the barn investigation and Arothl's wounding) can be used for combat reference.

On Snow:

With snow comes an obstacle. Korkskrew has set it at chest deep, in the south western area, i have it waist deep in the north east area. The two other areas remain unknown so far.

So, the snow depths are set. The town it will be compacted down and shoveled and stuff, so thats about ground level, if not a little higher. But, with snow being so deep everywhere else, that means travel will be slow, and running extremely difficult, if not impossible. Horses will be slowed as well.

On Demon Attacks:

As the villagers have said they will occur once a week on the town itself, so that will be happening. The farms will be attacked every once and a while, those are pretty much open to whoever wants them attacked whenever.

On the Town:

Its a small town, very frontier like. it has a local temple, a healer, a blacksmith, the inn, and a couple other shops and several homes. Outside of the main town is a wall divided into sections. By wall, i mean a wall like a fence made of logs. It is made up of 4 entrences, all un-gated. When an attack comes, the people will grab a shield, and whatever weapon and make a rough shield wall, but since theres only a few people, they will need "our" help. So during an attack, we'll be running around doing whatever, but ultimately fighting an uphill defensive campaign.

On Gates for the town:

This will be part of the plot. After first attack on town when we are there, i will work in this part, don't you worry.

I stayed up all night last night reading every page of the Baldaris thread. if it's ok I'd like to join.

Character: Greham is an up-and-coming priest out just to do the bidding of his god. he was dragged into the war on Baldaris, as a member of an elvish hunting party that was soon slaughtered. He is now wandering the land hopelessly lost just trying to find his way home.

Description: 6 foot, 200 lbs. Has a long, but neatly trimmed, brown beard.

Race: Human

Equipment: heavy mace, kite shield, suit of plate-mail, and a holy symbol.


Character: Kilgred, an old wizard of immense knowledge he and his friend Greham spent the last 2 years living in the mountains, until they answered the call of war on Baldaris. Kilgred cannot stand demons so he readily answered the call. Now he and Greham are stuck on Baldaris with no way out.

Description: 6 foot 2, 170 lbs. Has a long scraggly white beard and wears only an old green robe and hat.

Race: Human

Equipment: old green robe and hat, spellbook, torches, dagger, and a staff.

An ending to this? probably not a story end, but if people flunk out, yeah, there will be an end. If we break it like the "thread of silliness" then I will make part 2 or something. i put emphasis on I, cause this is like my baby.

With that being said: I need ideas for Natalie, she's just kinda been there, i need something to make her a more prominent character. The last major thing she did was being found. She's just like becoming forgotten and Dune hasn't acted like much of a husband. *shrugs* i don't know what to do.

I don't know how succesful my next post will be, i'm extremely tired from our homecoming dance last night. There was a live band for a change, so that was nice, but it went from nine till midnight. Went duck hunting friday morning at 3:00, packed up at 10, then went to march in the parade at 2. Marched at 3, then went to the game at 6 which lasted till 10, then got about 5 hours of sleep to go to work. Worked till about 4, then went to the local clothing store to get a new shirt and tie, discovered my pants didnt fit, had to run all the way down to the next largest town, get new shoes, socks, and pants. Then came home at 7, had the duck (singular, had the whole refuge to our selves and only one flock came in all fricken day.) from the day before, then went to the dance "fashionably late", or just plain late how you interpret it. Then rocked out till midnight, and now it is about 9:45. So ya, tired.

Armor: Goes for the heavier leather armors, and some chainmail.

Weapons: A BIG black oaken bow, but prefers his trusty two handed axe.

Personality: Loud and fun loving, La'Vir is a ' one of the guys' type. Only time he gets serious is when he is serious. Heavy fighting is his specialty.


Jessam( the lanky one)

Race: Human.

Age: late teens.

Apperance: 5'8". Dirty blonde hair that's short cut but messy, bangs often falling into his greenie blue eyes. Thin as a rail.

Armor: Goes for light and flexible leather armor armor.

Weapons: Yew bow, unlike most ranger he prefers to knife like weapons call sais.

Personality: Fun loving, but soft spoken and quite shy. Very good at close combat and hand to hand.


Calthe

Race: High elf.

Age: Early 20's by elven standards

Apperance: 5 foot even. White-blonde hair she keeps very short. Eyes lavendar.

Armor: Lighter armor, in fact barely wears armor at all.
Weapons: A bow made of white pine, a scimtar and a spear made of white pine with a light coloured metal spear head, but mostly relaies on earth magics .

Personality: For the most part, aloof, while not haughty, she keep herself sperate from the others personal chats. Kind though. Studious. Magic expert of the group.


Tak'tel

Race: Unknown to the general public for now

Age: ??

Apperance: 5'2" Appears to be a thin, but well muscled female.

Armor: Light, flexible armor, coloured to blend with surroundings

Weapons: Yew bow, staind to be dark coloured. Two long thin swords.

Personality: Quiet, and somewhat sarcastic, although she is private and aloof, you can trust Tak'tel to tell someone when they are being an idoit. Spying and sneak assasin like attacks are her specialty.

I have revised the rules a wee-bit. Mostly taking changes that were not orignally put in there that i made but were scattered about. I went through all the OOC threads to find my edits. So now all the rules and modifications should be in there.

I've worked out a plan for Kair and ultimately the elimination of the Felkin. Vergil and Dune make their journey to Seven Bridges and are reuinited with the others. They then head to Kair. Here's what Gondi has told me about it.

Kair is the isle off to the northwest, a tad too close to the maelstrom to allow inhabitants. But, Kairn's have made their home in the island, carving out mansions of stone and jewel. There are about 2,500 Kairns on the island. They are a tough, strong people, like Orcs but more refined and gentler on the eyes.

In the center of Kair (the underground city, not the island), there is a giant crystal that produces all the light needed for the city to survive. The light is distributed throughout the city through the use of mirrors.

Kairns sustain themselves through seafood.

There we retrieve Vergil's wedding gift from Orum, which is a very large book with all the names of those who have married in to the family. Knowing that the only Kairn with blood that hasn't been completely diluted are the Adriels, Vergil uses the book to find all the remaining Adriels and gathers them to fight against the Felkin. That's just a rough outline, lots of other stuff can and likely will happen along the way. I figure we can get Gondi back in with this too, because Orum will definitely play a big part in the grand scheme of things.
