Lan Party is the story of two game store clerks and thier day to day discussions about the video game world. Though based in part on real people and real gaming discussions this could be viewed as simply me asking myself the question.
" What if Dante and Randal from CLERKS worked at a game store? "
For the sake of simplicty it will be written in screenplay format. Hell if you want you can picture it in black and white, but in the the theater that is your imagination try hard to rember all of this takes place in a game store and thus the randomness of thier off beat topics is actully very plausible.
If you find it at all entertaing please post me your comments and or suggestions.

Episode 1 - The Rockstar Theory
Scene - The guys are setting up before the store opens. Lucas is behind the register reading a magzine layed out on the desk. David is unloading a box of games a few feet away.
* Lucas looks up from his magazine *
Lucas: Hey have you heared that thier making San Andreas for adults only?
*David not looking away from his task sarcasticly replies *
David: No Lucas Ive been living in a cave for the past four days.
* Lucas Grins *
Lucas: I was simply trying to ask your opinion about this event that effects young people such as yourself.
* David looks over to acknowledge Lucas*
David: Well the ESRB rating already list it as Mature so making it Adults Only is like creating a super R rated movie when 17 or older already implies just that.
* Lucas leans his right hand against his face and countinues *
Lucas: But thier alot of minors who own this game and could trigger said mod.
* David sighs and countinues to work *
David: Minors who were bought the game by thier parents. Those parents should be treated with the same disdain and scorn we would give to the parents who buy thier kids cigarette or alcohol.
* Lucas standing up straighter. shakes his head in slight disbelief *
Lucas: Yeah but many parents still consider video games a kids thing and expect most games to at least not contain something as sexually explicit as the mod.
* David not looking up at him replies*
David: Ignorance to the law is no excuse in this country. If i recall thier was a time when seatbelts were not required but now that is not a suitable excuse for not getting a ticket if you dont buckle up.
* David Pause*
David: Why do you feel so strongly about this anyway?
* Lucas Shrugs *
Lucas: I guess im just playing the devils advocate on this one.
* Lucas points to where GTA is located in the store*
Lucas: I guess im just sick of defending Rockstar all the time.
* David smiles *
David: Welcome to are world.
* Lucas looking confused replies *
Lucas: What?
* David Slighly responds*
David: Lucas im black.
* Lucas chuckles *
Lucas: I hadn't noticed.
* David Smiling *
David: What im trying to subtly imply is that the way many gamers feel about rockstar is the way many black people feel about rap.
* Lucas leans on the counter *
Lucas: Intriguing countinue.
* David takes a deep breathe in and out for effect *
David: Think about it from our perspective. Do we think rap is sometimes violent? Yes , Sexually explcit? Yes , Gives the public a negative view of our culture Yes. But we still love it and we still purchase it by the millions allowing for it to countinue to serve as a bad example for how we live our lives as a whole. Just as rockstar serves as a bad representation of what video games are like these days. The mass amount of sales allow for it to become an easy target for those who oppose our view as a whole.
* Lucas nods *
Lucas: That a very good way of putting it.
* David smiles*
David: Thanks it sounded profound when i was saying it.
* Lucas & David share a laugh *
Lucas: Regardless i cant wait till i have time to check out the mod myself.
* David Laughs and nods*
David: Me eithier.
