OK, I'm not a cartoonist, and I don't work on a wacom (sp?), but I think I do pretty good with my fine tip Sharpie.

Work Sketch (http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a216/bobthegoat/OriginSketch.jpg)

This stupid drawing is about the 30th re-draw. I did it in pencil, then drew over in sharpie so it would fax. (I did cheat, and trace the company logo in the bottom right corner.)

The stupid customer...they said "I just want a hand sketch", I sent them a AutoCAD drawing, and they said "No, I want a hand drawn sketch"...stupid asshat. (I charged them an extra $100 in their quote for my time)

Should have traced over the AutoCAD drawing with pencil, made some eraser marks, and then gone over in sharpie. Great work though. My design class is getting ready to start design work on a hotel. I might be doing some interior sketches of the hotel, so I might post those if I actually get the time to do so.

why would someone prefer a hand sketch over AutoCAD when the context is interior design?

You could use something like SketchUp (www.sketchup.com) to create the design in a CAD-like environment (and possibly import from/export to AutoCAD) and render it with a hand-sketched look. :D

How annoying they made you do that! That is a pretty spiffy workstation though!

This is a photo of a station (http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a216/bobthegoat/UBackMaple.jpg)with almost exactly the same features...I think I did a pretty damn good job on that sketch.

That is the sexiest workstation I've ever seen. I want one for myself here at home. :P
