As some of you know my father passed away on the 16th. My best friend whom I have known since I was 5 rushed down to be with me. We have been friends for 22 years, do pretty much everything together, heck we even get huge laughs because we have the same first name.
The night my father passed away her dad was rushed to the hospital with chest pains. She called me last night and her dad was back in the hospital, things were looking bad and they had moved him to critical care. I just got off the phone with her for the second time today. They did a CAT scan on her dad and basically he is cancer from head to toe. They are trying to make him comfortable, but they do not see him making it through the day.
I know my grandmother always used to tell me that deaths come in 3's. But really what are the odds that something like this would happen. Even freakier is that he is in the same CCU room my dad was in. My prayers are with her and I am about to head to the hospital to sit with her and her husband. May God give us both strength during this time in our lives.
