View Full Version : My dad went in for heart surgery today...

And I feel sick... I really wish I had classes today to take my mind off of it...but I can't. I'm carrying a phone around with me so that anything happens, I'll know....Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to atempt to push all conious thought into playing a video game.

He's alright now, the doctor were able to clear a partially blocked artery, and did some..stints? Unforunately I was too busy feeling relief to really hear what my mom had to say... He still has a blocked artery, but the docotors said it might cause more harm then good if they tried to fix it...


I'm just glad he's okay.

My dad had an angioplasty done last year, and when they were in there, they discovered that he has an extra artery. This one had been blocked for a long time, but they'd never known it, because, somehow, he'd grown one to take it's place. :? Too weird.

Maybe they just don't want to operate on the other one just yet, until this one heals...It sounds like this one was successful...sooo YAY! :D

It seems the one the that they didn't operate on has been there for awhile... Damage in the area ect.

I talked to him earlier and sounded really frustrated... The had him laying down for awhile, and my dad hates not being able to do stuff.

Glad to hear he's doing better. I know exactly how you feel. My did has had 3 heart surgerys. An angioplasty, triple bi-pass, and stints put in.
He was frustrated at the not being able to do anything, also.
Just be there for him is the best thing you can do.
