I don't know the whole backstory of Wallace & Grommit, so those who've grown up on their antics can do a fill-in later. I do know they're British claymation-like creations and have quite a following. For those that have never seen it before (as I haven't), you don't need to know the backstory.

Wallace, human, is a lover of cheese and Grommit, his faithful and very intelligent dog, is his partner in a business called Anti-Pesto, specializing in humane pest removal.

I was looking for something light and humorous to view and this filled the ticket nicely. The plot is simple; find out who the were-rabbit is before the Vegetable Judging or it shall be cancelled and Wallace will lose a chance at his ladylove, the big-haired Lady Tottington (played by Helena Bonham Carter) and the evil Victor (Ralph Fiennes) shall win her hand instead. Obviously I've not included a lot for fear of spoiling it.

It's all done very well, and since it's rated G, is a great treat for the kids. Definite recommend.

Anything done by Nick Park is a classic. I loved the original Wallace and Gromit episodes, watched them until the VHS tapes started going wobbly (Ahh, yeah, allllll the way back then).

*shudder* This is one I'll probably never watch. Claymation seriously disturbs me for some reason... always has (I had nightmares when I was growing up because of that type of animation). I'm sure it's probably a good movie, I just wouldn't be able to watch it.

Go ahead, laugh at me...

If I remember correctly this studio also did 'Chicken Run.'

Yes, they are responsible for CHicken Run, also for the character of Morph in the children's series with Tony Hart way back when, and Creature Comforts.
Unfortunately, a recent fire at their warehouse has destroyed a lot of their old props and models, 30 years worth of archived materials :(

I caught a little bit of Chicken Run on HBO the other day and was pleasantly surprised. Going to have to add Wallace & Grommit to my Netflix queue... in fact I'll do it now!
