Well, we're back home, and no baby yet. :D My husband is super-skinny, though....*grumble* I'll have to really work on that. Had a doctor's appointment today, and she "checked" and said any day now! The graduation was pretty cool, although I think it would have been better if they'd worn their class A uniforms....but in war time they always wear BDU's for graduation. He looks REALLY good in his class A uniform! And that's not just four months of loneliness talkin'.

Does that mean he'll get to be around for the birth?

Yep, he'll be here when the baby's born! His DS helped him get extra leave, so he'll be sticking around until Nov. 7. Then he has to report to Ft. Drum in New York. I'll be staying here for a little while so he can get things situated up there.

Sweet, glad he's gonna be there for you. I'm not so glad for him, as he's probably gonna see something he never wanted to see.
But, since I HAVE seen said something, I can gleefully say I'm glad he will :p

Insomniac,
What is your husband's job? I have a really good friend up there that is in the Millitary Police Battalion. If your husband ends up in it let me know and I will give ya the guys name. He could really help a new guy in the army in a new place. I am really happy for the both of you, now tell him to drop and give me 50, SSG Van Patten says so. Just kidding.

My husband is 11c, he's been assigned to....I don't remember what he called it...some kind of replacement battalion...a fill in the cracks kind of thing, in the 10th Mountain. So we won't know what he'll end up doing until he's processed. I'm going to stay down here until he gets things figured out, and finds a house. From what I've heard and read, mortarmen are in kind of high demand right now, so I doubt he'll end up being military police. But it would be kind of nice to have a contact...he's kind of nervous about the whole thing. :)
