Yep, its no longer Underground. Sadly, its a wasteland.
Not to say this game is, though, just its name.
Going back to its "roots" and offering a story that freakin' makes sense, this has got to be the best Tony Hawk game since THPS4.
While the Thug games offered a twisted sense of humor, it was really lacking in variety. You skated. You spraypainted. You ran around like an idiot. You were forced to play with wonky-ass car physics. Not fun.
Luckily, all un-fun of THUG has been replaced with total awsome with THAW (...Is it just me, or do these names so they can have silly acronyms?)
Running around is fluent now, and physics have been improved greatly. All Car-Driving levels THUG offered are absent (HANELUJA!) and the new introduction of BMX is surprising good. Not surprising, since guys from the failed Dave Mirra BMX games worked on THAW.
This is a total must-buy. With a story line that is actually some what interesting (its still not Shakespear or nothin', but still...) and gameplay mechanics that are still solid yet still feel fresh (Hey, its still Tony Hawk, don't expect too much change), it deserves to be in any Gamers library.
