Many games have come out over the years that are so good, they're addicting to play (The Sims, World of Warcraft, etc.). One of them was "Animal Crossing", a game that puts you in a town full of Animal Neighbors and many things to do/get done. Now, a sequal has been released for the Nintendo DS titled "Animal Crossing: Wild World".

The game starts off with you taking a Taxi ride to your town. during this process, you'll be asked questions to determine your name, gender, town's name and what your face will look like. After that, you're dropped off in front of Town Hall in your new Town. You are given a map and shown to where your new house is. After checking out your house, Tom Nook visits you and give you your house cost (19,800 Bells), your forced to do chores for him. After you finish them, thats where the fun begins.

The gameplay is simple: You can fish, dig for fossils, talk to your villagers, design clothes, etc. You make money (Bells) in this game by selling fish, bugs, and anything else you can find. Even though it sounds uninteresting, the game can drag you in.

The graphics may not be as good as the Gamecube's version of Animal Crossing, but for the Nintendo DS, they're very well done. The land isn't spread into areas anymore, but instead, replaced with a round world like setting. At first it seems wierd, but you get used to it.

ACWW does have improvements over the GC version. First off, you are no longer forced to wear the hat with horns/Elf looking hat. There are diffrent head items you can buy, as well as face acessories, such as glasses or a snorkel. The game loses the ability to run up to a neighbor and ask for a job, but instead, you get a job through conversations, to make the game more realistic. This can be a good or bad thing for some people. Basements are replaced with storing furniture, like dressers and refrigerators. You can store up to 90 items in them, but you can't have multiple storage items in your house.

There are some flaws and dissapointments to the game as well. One of the biggest ones is there are no NES games to play in ACWW. Also, Instead of having four houses to choose from in the beginning, you have one house, and if others want to make a character, you have to share a house with them. They made up for it by allowing you to have five rooms.

One of the best features of the game though, is Wi-Fi Play (Online). You and three other people and be in a village at once, to chat, trade furniture, play games, anything you can think of. The only problem, is that you need someone elses friend code to be able to acess they're town, and vice versa. This isn't a huge problem since there are tons of communites on the internet that allow you to swap friend codes (The Offical Nintendo Forums don't though).

The game doesn't change the setting from the Gamecube version, but makes many improvements from the first. If you were addicted to the Gamecube version, by all means get this game. You will enjoy it.

*Took the game score out, feel it shouldn't be there*

(This is my first review. Any feedback would be most appreciated.)

This is probably against the rules, but this is a really good review. *thumbs up*

I concur.. great review.

I had boughten this game for one of my little sisters for Christmas. Before wrapping the game, I popped it in my DS to give it a whirl. I didn't get very far, only to the doing chores part in the beginning. Turned it off, and wrapped the present.

To my suprise, my sister LOVES the game. Apparently she's hooked to it.

Now that I read yer review, looks like I really am missing out. Beh.
