Wow. Not all that far fetched.
Shades of Blade Runner, Matrix, Logan's Run, and Demolition Man. As usual Steve Buscemi provides comic relief in a mostly serious movie as a sleazy character you can't bring yourself to completely dislike.
Only major dislike; Jet cycles. Just cause we have a Star Wars actor doesn't mean speeder bikes were needed.
