So, does anyone else have a hard time with certain poses of the human body? Do you have any tips on how do it?

The ones I have a problem with is:

- profiles: in realistic drawings, I can rarely get this to look right. because of this I usually stick to angle poses of the face and head.

- extreme angle poses: like looking up at the jaw, or looking up from the base near the feet.

- poses of the arm and hands that are in the foreground,. it seems to just look like I've drawn someone with a huge hand.

Draw from life.
Many times universities/coolges will ave life drawing classes you can take. Art groups, gllaries or museums sometimes have life drawing classes as well. In Tampa, Fl. there is a museum that has self directed life drawing classes every month or every two weeks (I forget). Amere 8 dollars for a 3 hour mosel session is a really good deal.

Here is a couple of salutions I did . For the head I have a plastic human skull model that I sculped a face on. This can be very helpful to see how shadows and certain features will look. I also have a small wooden poseable mannakan (sp?) both of these shopuld be avalable at most art supply stores. And one book that helped me draw human figures is called " how to draw comics the marvel way" sadly I think this book is out of print but there might be a few floating on the net.
