So ya, 2 hours of my life I want back. Not even 2 hrs, more like an hour and 30. The idea, while kinda cool, was just poorly executed. For a "horror" flick, there were no real "murder" scenes per-say, and the acting was sub-par, even for a new era horror flick.
On the plus side, the actual video game in the movie looked pretty badass.
It was "creepy" but not anything I haven't done playing DOOM3 or F.E.A.R to be honest. The scares were rather cheap, the effects, while par for the course, just seemed to be...lacking...for lack of a better term. The plot seemed to jump around a lot, and really kind of left you with a lot of questions at the end.
Really, I'd give this flick maybe a 4 out of 10, just because the idea was sound, it was just poorly executed. Heads up folks, this one's a renter.
