This was a very fun game on Xbox and PC, and I heard rumors about a second one, the ending was lleft very open for a sequal and I have been searching the internet for confirmation about this, and I was wondering if anyone has heard anything?

Nope. Haven't heard a thing.
There's a novel that covers an entirely different Delta Squad adventure, and a novel that features Delta Squad and a second commando unit. But I haven't heard anything about a sequel.
The problem with a sequel is that the game ends right before Palpatine turns the clones against the Jedi. And that means that the clones have suddenly become the bad guys. That's not to say that a sequel with Delta Squad as good guys couldn't be done. At the end of the game one of the squad members actually does say that he's going to disobey orders until your character personally tells him to do as he's been told. So based on that I've argued that the squad members might be able to ignore the 'Kill the Jedi!' order. But I haven't heard anything about such a thing.

Doesn't have to be a sequel, just another game using that setup in Star Wars :)

Hmm...I never played it trough, I enjoyed the Deathgames online though. Intensive action, just a little bit to much...Counter Strike over it.
A squal would be nice, with improved graphics etc. But...the story might not support a sequal, right?

At the end of Republic Commando, they left a huge cliffhanger, when...
The squad was in the drop ship and Sev got seperated from everyone else because the members of the team were at different turrets to blow up the ship in the air, then as they are still in the dropship Advisor says "I'm sorry Deltas...look like your going back out" and 38 says "Commandos, lock and load" then the credits roll.

It has been suggested that "order 66" couldn't be ignored blah blah blah technical jargon, but it would definetly be neat to see a sequal, either with the commandos as good guys currently rebelling against the new empire.
It would also be fun just to do it on the empire's side, maybe show the start of the rebellion and the empires early attempts to stop it or something like that.
Either way, i'd buy a Republic Commando II if it ever came out.
