Well... to me anyhow!
Napolean Dynamite Director's Cut... deleted scenes, etc coming out next week.
Kingdom of Heaven Director's Cut. This will have over AN HOUR of new/cut footage interspersed (LoTR style) completely changing the tone and character development of the movie. Ridley Scott did this to great effect with Legend as well, and let me tell you he changed a very cheesy 80's fantasy movie to a dark and enjoyable film. I have very high hopes for the Kingdom of Heaven Director's Cut.
Rome (HBO series): Season 1 is finally coming out on DVD... and Season 2 is in production!
Deadwood: Season 2 DVD coming out soon... Season 3 starts soon on HBO!
Anyway, just thought I'd share for anyone interested.

Rome...woohoo! I can't WAIT to see where they go with Season 2. Wondering if they will pick up right where Season 1 left off, or if they will recast Octavian with an older actor and start with the beginning of Octavian/August's rise to emperor.

From what I understand it will pick up right where Season 1 left off. The political vacumn created by Caesar's death will take center stage and we will see Octavian's rise to power as well as the whole Antonius/Cleopatra thing. I predict that the season will end with Antonius/Cleopatra's deaths.
Pullo and Vorenus will both be back as well (all actors are under contract), so it will be interesting to see what happens with their storylines. I still hate to think that Niobe is really dead... but the show certainly isn't afraid to kill off important characters. Yes I knew full well that Julius Caesar would die in the end, but it really hurt me to see it nonetheless. Ciaran Hinds is a brilliant actor and I loved his take on Caesar.

You should be able to pick it up at Best Buy or Hastings or wherever. If not, order it on Amazon. If you liked Legend, you will be blown away by the Director's Cut.

Considering how well done this movie is *as is*...I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to this or not. *grins* Fun anticipation.

Here's a description I found of Season 2 at Netflix:
This lavish historical drama launched by the minds at Home Box Office traces the birth of the Roman empire, circa 31 B.C., as seen through the eyes of garden-variety Roman soldiers Lucius Vorenus (Kevin McKidd) and Titus Pullo (Ray Stevenson). While the debut season took place during Julius Caesar's final years, the second season moves to the reign of Caesar Augustus -- a mere boy in the first season who has since become a man.
It makes me wonder if the series is planning to take some liberties with Octavian's age, because brilliant as the actor who played him in the first season was, MANY years pass between Ceasar's death and the rise of Emperor Augustus, and the actor just isn't old enough to explain that much time having passed. It was hard enough to suspend disbelief for Octavian looking as young as his did considering the number of years that passed during Ceasar's rise to power and reign.
Octavian and Antony form an alliance of sorts, Antony marries Octavia, then hooks up with Cleopatra and divorces Octavia, which creates a rift between Octavian/Augustus and Antony and eventually leads to Antony and Cleopatra's mutual suicide. All this takes a considerable length of time--as much as I love the actor who plays Octavian, I just don't see how they can squeeze all this in without recasting the role with an older actor.
