I know this movie has been talked about to death, and as a result I avoided seeing it for a long time. Finally checked it out and can honestly say I am a convert. I went to junior high in Idaho, and senior high in Wyoming... so I can relate to the "quaintness" of it all quite well.
The satire and humor of the movie was great, and I also like that it managed to be funny without any cursing whatsoever (that I remember) yet still managed to seem "edgy". How many comedies these days contain no swearing and yet don't seem saccharin? Anyway hats off to the director... and I'm looking forward to Nacho Libre (same director).
Anyway, I realize this movie polarizes viewers in much the same way South Park does (which I also love btw). Basically you either "get it" and enjoy it, or you don't.
