In the eyes of a young teir'dal jalil named Soraia Velg'arn

Walking the abandoned streets of Neriak, I start remembering how they used to be full of busy teir'dal. I wonder what happened to them all..Where did they go? Were they run out? Did they all just move? did they leave to conquer new lands? What happened to the people I knew and loved? All these questions run through my mind, over and over and over again.

"I remember when I was young, my friends and I would pretend that we were the great and powerful warriors and the stealthiest of the assassins, just like our elders. We admired them so much and we loved hearing the stories of their journeys to the mysterious continents of Kunark, Faydwer, and Odus. We listened quietly as they told us about the ferocious sabertooth tigers of The Overthere and the deadly drolvargs of the Dreadlands. What we loved hearing the most was the stories of the mighty Dragons that filled the world of Norrath."

"When they were done telling us their stories, it was time for us to go to our families. Normally I would stay and wave goodbye to my friends everynight. On few occassions I would walk some home, then wehn they were out of my sight, I would go to my home. It was an old abandoned shack, probably used for storing food long before I claimed it as my own. I found some rations and water left in the corner of it. I had everything I needed to remember my family: mother's ring, father's equipment, and sister's necklace. I made sure everything was in top quality."

"I miss my family. My mother was kidnapped and murdered when I was only three years of age. My father was killed in a war against the dwarves. The smelly little beasts outnumbered him and brutally killed him. My sister," pauses, "I do naut know what happened to her. It would help me answer so many questions that have been on my mind since then. To find my sister..."

"Though I didn't have any of their bodies to bury, I made a manument in their honor. Everynight, before I would retire to my bed, I would visit it and tell them about my day. From the time I woke, to when I came to tell them of my day. To show my respect for them I would place a red rose on my father's name, a white rose on my mother's name, and a black rose on my sister's name. I'm sure they are proud of me."

"After visiting them, I would go to my house and pray to Innorruuk that my family was safe and watching out for me. Then I would go to bed and sleep till the next morning to remove the dying roses and continue with my routine."
