View Full Version : Looking for a new background

I always like to keep the background of my desktop seasonal, sunny pictures in Summer, brown leafy tree type pictures in Autumn, etc.
As the festive season is on us, I have been looking for a nice Christmas background, but I can't seem to find a suitable one, a simple generic picture. All the ones I see are personal family pictures with people I don't know in them, or have digital watermarks, that kind of thing.
Or they have to be downloaded, and I can't do that as it is my work computer.
It needs to be a picture that you can legally right click and do set as wallpaper.
Does anybody have one they can link, featuring simple things, like Christmas trees, snows, reindeer etc?

Ack! Thanks for reminding me! For years, I've been thinking of making a Christmas Card-like desktop image in 3D, but keep putting it off until it's too late. I almost completely forgot about it this year, but now you've reminded me, so I'll get to work! :D

The holidays section at Visual Paradox (http://www.visualparadox.com/holidays2.htm). Check out their other galleries as well :) I have "meditating wood (http://visualparadox.com/wallpapers/MeditatingWood800.htm)" as my current desktop wallpaper.

I happen to use http://www.webshots.com/ myself along with what I have from visual paradox and digital blasphemy (those sites *are* sweet). On the side I snag stuff from http://www.animewallpapers.com cause I'm such a fangirl *grin*..
I take the wallpapers and stuff I download from the othersites and put them into collections in my webshots. You can make it so it puts a different wallpaper up every day or once a week or whenever.

I like browsing the desktop walpaper section at Deviant Art (www.deviantart.com) every once in a while. Some of them are quite good.
