And am curious of what other MMOs are out there that might be for me. I am the type of person who would like a social MMO, but not something where you are extreemly depended on a tightly run guild to progress. If it helps, I enjoyed FF11 thouroughly but I could not continue playing because of time constraints. If that would help explaining myself more.

WoW until level 60 after which you can play alts.
DAoC on Gareth server is good with catacombs since most grouping and raiding is pickups. Very casual player who works on one character can get fully geared up in a month or two.

Edit: Unfortunatly I will be unable to do any followup since I am leaving for a few weeks in an hour.

Well my post was edited, but to clarify, I am leaving WoW. It's just a too huge MMO(population wise) for me, makes it impossible for any kind of community.

If you haven't looked into it yet, I would suggest taking a look at Eve Online. The game is very social. Also, it is good for time constraints because all of the advancement is time based. You set a skill to train and it trains in a certain period of time, whether you are logged in or not. The learning curve on the game is fairly steep, but once you get the basics down it is a very in depth game. I have been playing for a couple years and I am still learning new things about the game almost daily.
