hey i use to play dawn of war the warhammer 40k game but i lost the disc, Anyways im thinking about getting another one but i heard that there coming out with another game for it. Now my question is, Is it a expansion or could you buy the new one by itself and still be able to play or is it just another expansion like winter assault? thanks :P

Unless there's another one I don't know about, it's an expansion.

As expansions go, you probably don't need the 2nd one. Expansions are usually self contained so they can be skipped. I don't own the Dawn of War games so, that'd just a guess.

The Dark Crusade Expansion is being released as a "stand alone" expansion. While I'm not quite sure if it will allow you to play all seven races in the Campaign game, I do know for a fact that if you only have Dark Crusade installed you may only use Necrons or Tau in Multiplayer games.

If you go to http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=58195 and scroll down quite a way, there is a chart detailing which races exactly are available with which expansion combinations.

Edit: You can apparently play all seven races in single player campaigns. But as noted above, Dark Crusade by itself will only let you play Tau and Necron in multi-player.

I think I also remember seeing something about yet another race being slipped in outside of player control, similar to how the Necron were added as a surprise cameo in Winter Assault. But I don't know which group, nor do I really know who could be added. Tyranids are out (the developers have stated that Tyranids won't be added unless they can be done right, and they can't be done right with the current game engine - maybe in DoW 2, though), and that leaves Dark Eldar and who else?
