Marvel Studios has pacted with Vancouver-based production company No Equal Entertainment to develop a live-action TV series based on the cult-favorite comicbook superhero Moon Knight. Skein will follow soldier of fortune Marc Spector as he becomes the titular vigilante after an encounter with the Egyptian god of vengeance and moon deity.

I loved this character ever since he made an appearance in Werewolf by Night, he's like a dirtier grittier Batman.

I've enjoyed the new Moon Knight comic series that's running now. I'd at least give the show a try. As long as they don't get stupid with it, it has potential.

But the best vigilante is still the Punisher, especially when Garth Ennis wrote it. While other heroes just put the villains in jail, where they break out 4 issues later and start the same old crap again only to repeat the process infinite times, the Punisher makes sure the villain's career is over. It only took Batman 60 years or so to finally kill the Joker, he could have saved himself a hell of a lot of grief if he had just done it much earlier.

And I personally loved the Punisher movie, although it needed a little more action. I hope the rumors about Jigsaw being in the next one are true.

The new Marvel Moon Knight series is great. My biggest problem with it is that the issues seem to run late, more often than not.
The story arc and artwork is superb though!
Great post on the TV show, Clareon!! One more thing for me to Tivo.

Wow that is a really old 80's comic. Wonder if the new artwork is as good as the old one?

I remember this guy from the early 80's, he was my favorite sup'hero when i was a kid. He was called Månebaronen- 'the moon baron' here... can't remember if he had his own mag or if he was stuffed into some other publication. Anyway, i kinda welcome a series based on him!
