I personally think Mastodon outdid themselves with this one. I became a fan of Mastodon after they release Leviathan several years back, and I've loved all their albums. The singing and guitar work increases with every output, and they're almost single-handedly keeping metal alive in the U.S. Anybody else want to share their thoughts?

This is probably the best piece of Music that will come out this year. I've been a bit of a border-line fan since Leviathan (that Blood & Thunder video never fails to make me smile), but this album is absolutely amazing. Seriosly...if you are reading this and you enjoy hard rock and/or heavy metal, go buy this album immediately. At the very least go give it a listen on Youtube.

I went to see them at the House of Blues in Boston a few weeks ago...they opened the set with the entire new album, took a five minute break and came back with another 40 minutes of music. Just.....awesome.
