For those of you that do not know much about Lord of the Rings Online, the Minstrel is the healing class. Well, so far in game 95% of the people I've encoutered have been asshats. So, I've just started avoiding them altogether. But being a Guardian, my want for a healer is often high. If only there were a way that I could get the benefits of a healer without suffering the annoyances of grouping. **taps chin**

Okay, so it's a ridiculously simple joke. But it's true. I've been avoiding other people in game more than usual, because I honestly have not had any good experiences. Even Taks tried to kill me multiple times.

And before some of you start to get grumpy about the wealth of LOTRO comics lately, start tossing your angry looks at the other folks around you that have been grumpy about the lack of MMOG comics (since I haven't been playing any). The Turbine/Midway folks were kind enough to send me the game for free, and even gave me a pre-order key so I wouldn't lose my beta character. I figure I should use it... you know, to be nice in return or something. **whistles**

PS. The comic was done at 8:30 this morning, but I didn't want to post it until noon. And then, of course, I freakin' forgot to upload it on time. Yeah... it's been that kind of month so far.

That blasted iTunes commercial music is playing in my head, but with the freakin' lute added in.

I'm on Nimrodel and I must say...as far as the OOC channel goes, you can get a lot of helpful people. But when it comes to actually SEEING people in game...I have to agree, most of them are as you called them. However, half of that 95% will change if you send them a tell rather than trying to talk to them other ways as apparently they feel the same and turn all the other channels off. Minstrels....listening to that same same same lute note riff playing over and over for each heal gets annoying...so I stopped playing mine

When I used to play my WoW priest, I felt like that iMinstrel most of the time >.<.

Wow... LOTRO is off to an early start. On most of the MMOG's that I played, it took a couple months for the asshat ratio to get above 80%. WoW at least got out of Beta before I noticed that many of them. You'll just need to find a guild (are there such things in LOTRO?) or a few good folk to for a regular group.

On a side note, I just had to add asshat to my Firefox dictionary. What a sad, sad day this has become.

Yup, it's called a kinship. I'd consider forming one myself if the WoW ones hadn't turned out to be such a pain.

Hopefully the asshat to good player ration will fall back into proper alignment once all the release-day buddy keys start to run out.

I called some random idiotic driver that the other day and my hubby about lost it laughing. I had to explain where I got it from.

I personally haven't had that many bad experiences.. Probably due to the gamer this game tends to attract, old school.

Well in all honesty I have found that the VAST majority of asshats that I have encounterd have been burned out WoW addicts. OOC becomes unbearable to watch what with all the "I'm bored. I'm going back to WoW. This game sux." comments. The sooner the better as far as I am concerned. Started a nice kinship on Windfola with "old" guys and gals like me and am enjoying the game alot.

I am so tempted to step at CompUSA on my way home and get this game... if the engine is as forgiving as WoW's my computer should be able to run it, and I have always loved playing bards...

If only my internet connection was not as horrid... just moved to a new apartment and the only internet I get is a free wireless offering that has a lot of packet loss. Good for browsing, but not for gaming. Even so I'm tempted...
