It's damn near a job. (9/17)
I mentioned a few days ago that I had fallen into a pattern as I ground out the cash for my epic flying mount. I figured once I had it everyting would change. I'd zip all over outland bashing things, collecting goodies, mocking those individuals flying at a fraction of my speed. No, all I've really done is add a stop to my daily routine.
Now, don't get me wrong here, I'm not actually complaining. If I don't feel like doing dailies, I don't have to. I can swiftly zoom on over to Nagrand at 280% of my base movement speed and beat up on clefthides for food. I think what actually makes the series of dailies so monotonous for me now is that I'm just not enjoying them. The clever ones seem to be overshadowed by the ones plagued by terrible drop rates. That is to say, I really enjoy poisoning peons, but I don't enjoy struggling to collect the necessary poisonous body parts first. I'm really quite excited about the bootarang daily, where you throw a boot at peons that are refusing to work. Today is the first day I get to do that one. I'll let you know how it goes. --- The comic was supposed to be reminiscent of the Family Circus strips where little Billy ran about splashing through puddles and committing super human acts of leaping. But, try as I might I couldn't make the image look the way I wanted it to. And I wanted to show the difference between what I want to do and what I am doing. Not to mention it was a little tough to get that whole map to fit in there and have the lines, and locations be marginally legible. I know it's not the easiest comic to immediately, visually parse. I apologize for any confusion. I just hope the concept carries through |

Nice reference to the Family Circus stuff. And I can really see that when you are doing a daily grind
Good comic. |

I don't know how you did it so fast Woody, but gratz on the flying mount... I can't believe you hit 70 after me and got your flying mount before me.. I guess that's what happens when you're a raiding warrior with a repair bill

*laughs at the sight of Billy running hither and yon through Azeroth* ((Now -- is he Horde? or Alliance? Somehow, I think Horde
)Nice reference and great comic, Woody. |

The Family Circus reference was hilarious. Had to think about it a second, but got it. =)

let me tell you... the bootarang quest has been the highlight of my WoW life! i found myself leaving it for last so i'd have it to look forward to while grinding out the other stuff. i loved it so much that i'd wait to turn it in, and just keep flinging the thing at the heads of lazy peons long after i'd gotten the 20 i needed.
![]() i've had my netherdrake for a couple months now, but i still go back and do that one quest just for the fun of it! |

The orange line is really really hard to see, at least for me. Took me awhile to find it, even. I think if I'd noticed it I would have gotten the Family Circus reference sooner.

Ooof... Where has all the fun stuff gone, when we strive for monotony.
It looks like Grek is sporting the late summer, early fall gloves of poop-stainless steel! |

Awesome comic Woody. And I have to completely agree with ya! I find myself just running circuits in Shadowmoon, over and over, and over again. Just to get Nightmare Vines and Felstuff.
Of course, after doing about 3-4 dailies, I discovered I can make in 30 minutes what usually takes me 3 hours of herbing... *cry* |
