My mom is a cancer survivor. She credits that survival to cancer research. So every year she "gives back" by participating in the Relay for Life walk despite having had two replaced hips and a replaced knee.

Wow, I can't believe nobody's responded to this.

I would sponsor your mother's walk... except... I'm walking myself, and we're competing with the other Greek organizations on my campus to raise the most. Maybe if we've built up a sizeable lead before the walk itself, I'll find a little bit of cash to sponsor your mother's walk.

I'm in Chi Phi, and we've already raised about $5000. We're pretty much neck and neck with Alpha Chi Omega, but we're well ahead of everyone else, I think. One of the guys in my fraternity is actually a cancer survivor, so, we're pretty enthused about the event.

Folks don't usually respond to them, which is okay by me. Mom surpassed her goal by nearly $200 last year and no one responded to the post. **grins**

We'll see if she's that lucky again. And no worries as long as you're walking and/or raising funds I'd never fault you for not sponsoring my mom. Good on you!

I just put in for $150, long as it goes through, i accidently put in the wrong email address but went back and edited it. Shouldnt affect the payment though. Tell your mom to keep going strong, shes doing a good thing.
