The same rules don't always apply. (11/5)
The comic was late because I stayed up last night watching election coverage. And where I knew what the comic was going to be, I didn't know which name to fill into the first text bubble.
The idea of Ted serving as a write-in candidate for president was one that occurred to me a while ago, but I didn't want to mention it for fear that folks would actually write him in. Yeah yeah, it's an amusing notion, writing in an imaginary character, but I'd hate for anyone to waste their vote. So I kept my mouth shut. Now, I'd rather this thread not become a political discussion. So I'm not sure what direction to lead you in. All I can really say is that, I hope no matter who you voted for, you can see your way fit to rally behind the new administration (once it's in place). We Americans have 8 years of ground to make up, some big problems to address. And, the only way I can see us getting back on track is to work together. Whoops, my sense of hope temporarily trumped my cynicism. Don't judge me too harshly; I've got a one year old, and I'd like to see the world around him stabilize before he gets older and becomes as cynical as I am. **grins** |

I like to say I'm not cynical, I'm perceptive.

Woody, I watched the concession speech last night and in hearing Senator McCain speak it reaffirmed my respect for him even though I don't always agree with him.
Bravo, Senator. Bravo. P.S. Ted 2012? |

I'm trying to figure out who the other 13 people he managed to convince to vote for him were.

LOL.
I wonder if the 14 votes that he got were also imaginary as well. |

I'm not American, but I kinda wish I was, I bet it was exciting, having something so important happen and being part of it. Living in England, things aren't quite as exciting over here. I don't even know how Gordon Brown got into power, I don't even remember it happening, sorta woke up and there it was.
Anyway, well done to Obama, and I hope only great things for such a great nation. I'll be over there next month visiting my girlfriend, I just love the U.S. |

I have read that both Mickey Mouse and Bart Simpson have received as many as 20,000 votes in some elections.
