UGO Entertainment has puchased the 1Up Digital Network which includes popular gaming sites 1UP.com, MyCheats.com, GameVideos.com and GameTab.com from Ziff Davis Media. Ziff Davis has also announced that, after nearly 20 years of publication, the January '09 issue of EGM will be the magazine's last printed installment.

For a very short time early in GU's history we were hosted as a UGO affialiate after they acquired Everlore. Their ad policies are what sent GU on to Keenspace. That being said I have zero proof that UGO whores itself out. I also have zero proof that 1Up secretly whores itelf out.

Me though? I'm looking to whore myself out. I haven't been paid for the ads that run on my site in a while. And my mortgage company is pissed. So, I'm having to take the situation into my own hands. I'm doing that by making myself available to you for commissions, zombifications, panel sales/signing etc.

The guys at SharkRobot are still trying to get the old shirts figured out. I didn't want to confuse them. Then we ran head long into the holidays. Sorry about that.

I myself am still longing for the classic "DING!" shirt. any word on what happened to that site? Or any chance of a reprint?

Offline just kind of fell off the map. I gave them another chance to get the white shirts back up and running but everytime I visited the links were broken so you couldn't actually order anything. I finally gave up and removed them from my supplier list.

As of yet, I've not found another supplier for similar products.

Once again I find this site the first place I see information completely relevant to me. I have been getting EGM for years now (the only print subscription I have) and this was the first I heard about them closing down the presses. Now I feel like I need to look through my last few issues to see if there was some hinting or outright statements that I was completely oblivious to. Thanks again for keeping me up to date.

Whoa! To many of my favorite web artists are having monetary issues.
I hate the economy being this tight, while I don't buy stuff from you directly, I do click your advertisers and it's sad that they haven't paid you.

Me too, I always click the links following the advertisments, on top of that between 6-8 diffrent That is just a bummer big time.

The sucky thing is... when I'm paid, I'm paid pretty well for my ad space. So it's not money issues so much as it's just plain damn bad timing. I've been waiting for months and I just can't afford to wait any longer. If I try to hold out any longer, I could lose my house.

It should be noted, I hate hate hate having ads on the site AND having to ask for money from the fans. **sighs**

And we need our house. It's where we keep all our stuff.
