A bit of a stretch, but you get the point. (2/2)
This, people, is a throwaway comic.
We went over to Taks' parents' house last night to watch the SuperBowl. Neither of us had ties to either team, so we were pretty much there for the company, the consumables, and the commercials. We paused the game in the 3rd quarter to throw Taks' mom a minor birhday party. Then Taks and I had to leave to get the kid home and in bed. When we paused the game the Steelers were up 20 to 7. We got home to a score of 23 to 20, Cardinals in the lead, 48 seconds left on the clock. Pittsburgh had the ball on the 6. Then with that tiptoe catch in the corner to Santonio Holmes for the touchdown. And then the Cardinals moved the ball pretty quick, and looked like they might have a shot. I can honestly say I enjoyed the last 48 seconds more than the rest of the game. And it was a good game. Anywho, since this is a throwaway thread, feel free to use it to talk about the Super Bowl, the commercials, Runed Cardinal Rubies, or you know... whatever. |

I enjoyed watching the game but I had a gut feeling that the Cardinals scored too quickly and the Steelers would end up coming back to score.
I am a Cincinnati Bengals fan and have found the Steelers to be a thorn in our side for a while. It is probably the rivalry we have but I swear there wasn't enough calls going against the Steelers in terms of holding and for example the last play where Warner was throwing the ball and his hand got smacked and they called it a Fumble. Maybe I'm just biased... but I swear there were some really lame calls. |

As a UK reader the only thing that interests me about Superbowl (this year at least) was the Superbowl Porn

Was doing some research and found this really interesting tidbit. I am sure the super statisticians already knew this but those of us that are interested in football but don't know every player for every team ever to play......In 1944, during the lean years of World War II, the Cardinals temporarily merged into the Pittsburgh Steelers and became one franchise, usually referred to as Card-Pitt, for that one season.

Just this year, I got myself a 56" 1080p DLP (60hz)
And didn't watch the super bowl. Eh, I don't care for Football, work overnights, and worked last night. I was sleeping. I bought the TV to play my 360 on! ![]() |

I watched the first quarter and a half at my Mom's house and had to leave early when my girlfriend got a nasty migraine. I intended on watching the ending when I got home, but I decided running a couple of Heroics would probably be a better use of my free time. Stupid WoW addiction.
It was a great game from everything I saw. |

It was a nail biter, that's for sure. We're Steelers fans here, so...
There were an awful lot of penalties, that's for sure. I would much rather watch a close game, then a snoozer blow out. Which I'll give the Cards credit for. They almost pulled it off. Hooray for a Superbowl without the Pats in it! ~r~ |

i stopped by my friend's place early in the game for some wings and beer but got bored really quick so i came back and played peggle nights (and worked on some stuff) with the game (superbowl game, not peggle) on mute. every time i heard my neighbors scream i just looked over to see how the game was going.

The first thing I'm thinking of when seeing "Ruby" is a programming language.
Does that make me a nerd? |
