Maybe it's a wardrobe malfunction? (2/3)
Gamespot has refused to review it until they can get in some more multi-player time in [more info] and Eurogamer has felt compelled to defend their review score of it.[more info] That's all I knew about Killzone 2 when I started the comic.
I haven't done many comics about PS3 games, so I felt compelled comment on Killzone 2 after hearing that the Eurogamer review might be tainted. But, rather than going on yet another diatribe about the state of gaming news outlets, I figured I'd just, you know, wing it. Though I will admit openly to being disappointed by even the thought of Eurogamer being corrupted. Killzone 2 is a sci-fi based, first person shooter being developed by Guerilla Games. It's rated M for Mature and is scheduled for release at the end of this month. Yes, I had to look all that up. |

Well, it doesn't seem like a bad shooter.
However, I hink Crysis was the last game with an original Exoskeleton, most of the other ones are based off of WWII and Steam Punk mix with jet pilot's breather on their face. |

Never been a fan of fps games and probably never will be. I just don't see the point to them. Would the classic Nintendo game Duck Hunt be considered a fps?

@Falacer: Yes Duck hunt would be. But it's still the Best FPS out there.

I played the Beta. Cannot say anything about single player, but multiplayer was a blast. Something odd with the game thought, almost everyone had a headset to play ! Score of 9/10 seems about right ( Perhaps a little higher since I've never seen a game look this good )
Gorgeous, Intense, engaging and frustrating (when you get owned) is the best way I can describe my experience. Halo Killer ? Most certainly not. This is something entirely different. Game on! *edit* Just saw Gametrailers review, which is along the lines of what I said ![]() Source: GameTrailer [ more info ] |

Zzzzz. The lengthy and snore inducing explanation by Tom at Eurogamer immediately made me think of Blagoiavich and how he handled his federal investigation and impeachment. I don't trust someone who feels the need to explain THAT much.
But then I read other reviews and the 9/10 seems completely appropriate. Not much point in paying someone off for a good review if your game really is that good. Gamespot may give it a more thorough review that includes breakdowns of the individual components (graphics, sound, multiplayer etc...) but I'll bet the overall score is basically the same...sour grapes if you ask me... |

Do people really put that much stock in reviews? Why do these people's opinion of the game(s) matter?
Anyways, cheetos and feet = bad combo. |
