After what seems like decades, I finally went and /love-ed the last three animals on my "To all the Squirrels I've loved before" list. Now, I'd noticed the appearance of a new kill'em achievement called "Pest Control" since the last patch. But, I wasn't 100% prepared to get hit with a follow-up to "All the Squirrels" sending me running around /love-ing animals again.

Ah well. It's all done now. But, it did leave me wondering about those poor, poor rats and what must be horrible repair costs for the number of times they've been killed since the patch. Sure it's only a couple of copper to us, but do you know how hard it is for a rat to build up copper? That's like the top rung of their currency scale, right above whiskers and droppings.

And the roach? He's got all his money invested in Chilled Meat futures. He's fine

So it is the cockroach that is ripping me off on the AH? That'll help me sleep better at night...

Some of the achievements are just good fun and some are insane.

I /love, /cast ice lance, every critter I come across and still haven't gotten either acheivement. Then while I thought about it...I have the explorer title and should have just gotten a list and did all of that at the same time.

Now I'm working on Seeker/Loremaster in my "off times" and I think I'll do those 2 at the same time.

On a more positive note, I finally got stormchops to drop as the last recipe I needed to complete the "chef" title.

I would have my 5 level 70 alts to 80 by now if it wasn't for achievements. Oh well back to Durotar to do level 5 quests on a level 80 epic'd mage...seeker/loremaster/ambassador here I come.

It's funny how some people (myself included) will start to whore themselves to achievements. "lunch lady", sure I'll buy 5 more recipies I'll never use. "It's 5'o'clock somewhere", well, I've been meaning to drink that bottle of wine for a while anyway....

I haven't gone through the trouble of going out of my way to /love critters....yet....

Heh, it's been going on for far longer than the recent patch, Woody. I personally have committed genocide in there at least three times, with a /target deeprun /autoattack macro. Those little rats are great for skilling up your weapons!

Wow looking at the main page, I thought today's comic was going to be a TNMT comic. The rat from the small sliver you see in there made me instantly think of Splinter.

Ok, now this makes total sense. I was in Stormwind and folks in and around SW were killing critters.

I don't really go out of my way to complete achievements, but if I see the opportunity to get one done I'll do it. Like the Herioc Dungeon challenges. Completing the "Incredible Hulk" was suitably difficult and awesome when we pulled it off on the first try.

The only one I've really gone for intentionally was 'The Argent Champion' one, and that's just because I've been exalted with the Argent Dawn since Vanilla WoW and wanted *something* to show for it. :-)

I just sort of remember starting out in the newbie area as a rogue and taking a good hard look at one of the cute bunny rabbits.

Then throwing a knife at it's cute bunny body.

I'm a fairly gentle soul, and rarely go out of my way to kill critters... as they have done nothing to me.
until recently, however, neither Hurricane nor Starfall shared my high moral standards...
so basically every time I used either starfall, or hurricane, at least one, but usually two, critters bought the farm.

at least now they're being massacred for a clear reason...
