It's a videogame reference. (2/17)

I've been following a game that's coming to the Wii this next month called MadWorld. It's classified as a beat-em-up game and, watching game trailers, that classification makes loads of sense. But what really drew me to the title was the art direction. It's black and white with bright red splashes of blood. (Rated M for Mature) It looks like an uncolored comic book come to life.

With me continuing to imply that I'm hopped up on massive quantities of NyQuil, I thought it might be funny if the resultant dillusional state was MadWorld inspired. The alternative was me seeing Ted as a talking crocodile with a pompadour hairdo. But you guys would almost expect that from me. And, to be honest, depending on how I feel, I might draw it anyway. We'll see.

I played this at the NYCC. It is a fun game. It is also kind of surprising since the game has lots of cursing, not just violence. The cursing is a surprise because it is a Wii game. I think the black and white make the game, otherwise it would be bleh. No intention of getting it when it first comes out though.

That is a very interesting way of making a game, It does look a lot like a comic picture so I kinda have a problem imaging how it would look in play and reckon it would take me some trouble to get used to it.

Will look up You Tube for some video of said game.

between this and house of the dead: Overkill (awesome game btw) Sega is hitting the "hardcore" wii gamer over the head with a shovel feb/march.
