I'll have to get back to you on that. (3/17)
I logged on early to do my dailies the other day and our pal Plethora, in the form of Kaerbaer, was already there playing. I logged off after doing my cooking daily. Then logged back in quite a few hours later to finish up the rest and Kaerbaer was still there grinding away. The comic is taken directly from our conversation.
I've been playing WoW a LOT lately. Trying to do my 25 dailies/day as well as working really hard to finish up my Loremaster Achievement. (Finally got it a couple of days ago, thanks.) See, I've cancelled my account. I enjoy my time in WoW. But, I'm trying to cut back on our household costs, get us on a workable budget, pay down bills. You know, ridiculous adult crap. Once I pay down some cards I'm sure I'll be back. Really hoping to get to mess with 3.1 before I go though. Sidenote... Man I cluttered the hell out of that frame. I'm gonna have to see if I can fix that. |

I too have been playing a lot lately... doesn't help that my wife finally tried WoW about a month ago and is just as hooked as I am. So now we sit around in the evenings and just play the night away.
We also text each other during the day about how we wish we were playing instead of working, so maybe we also need to find out the differences between dedication and addiction... |

Even though I don't do 25 daily quests / day, I do log on my main and alts to keep that transmute cooldown running, or do that jewelcrafting daily for the jewelcrafting-currency etc.
I ask myself if I do it because I want to (i.e. ->fun), or because I'm addicted and "have to". There's a huge gray area there that I get lost in sometimes... |

Interesting.
I don't think, if I cancelled my sub, "do 25 dailies / day" would be on my bucket list. Loremaster / Explorer, maybe. 100 mounts, maybe. Do repetitive quests for gold / rep I won't be using? Probably not. |

I'd just like to say I think that is an awesome drawing of a druid in tree form. One of the best faces I've ever seen drawn. I'm wondering if you drew the whole thing out, or just fit it to the panel? If you drew the whole thing post a link!

What? You mean we're not the same person? Crap! Why didn't someone tell me?
See, I have this rule about playing games. It's called "have fun". It doesn't make any difference what I'm doing as long as I'm having fun doing it. So it uhh... yeah. And I said I was sure I would be back. Wanna take a wild guess what I'll do when I return? --- I only drew what I needed for the panel. Very, very little has been trimmed. |

Can't you deduct the cost of your WoW subscription as a business expense? You do use it for inspiration for your comics...

Yes, I deduct all game related stuff from my taxes. But uhh... you don't get back 100% of what you pay out. You still have to spend the money, which coupled with other cut backs can be used to pay down credit cards, re-establish the savings that all got eaten in the last year because of late payments made to me by my ad provider.
I'd like this thread to stay on the subject of dedication/addiction. So uhh... no more discussion of my finances yeah? |

may be a business expense but all that means is that he isn't taxed on it but it's till money spent.
I had to drop wow just for the reason I realized there was nothing to show for it once the game was done. |
