Well at least he's honest. (6/29)

With all the discussion Friday about sneaking into capital cities to stomp out their flames, quite a few people suggested, in game and out, to just remove your armor so you didn't suffer a massive repair bill. A reasonable piece of advice. But I have a minor problem with the suggestion.

As a Warrior, I don't take my armor off for anything. It doesn't matter how much it costs me; it's a roleplaying thing. And, where I figure there are plenty of other Warriors out there who I feel like I do about their gear, I imagine some of them might have other "reasons" to shed their metal.

Please feel free to share your "reasons" with the class. We promise not to judge you. **coughs**

When I was running around Northrend getting the fires on my 54 priest, I only wore the midsummer robes, heirloom shoulders & the fire festival slippers.

I loved the comic, and the funny thing is that I was running my Dwarf Death Knight all around in his skivvies doing the different city fires. What I didn't expect was that as soon as I was done, and put my armor back on, that everything was RED! Apparently some change in the past (that I completely missed) made it so that armor even in your bags gets nailed by death. Yuck.

I flashed many a blood elf on my quest

Well I recently got my first "non-2h Mace" weapon since pre-bc, a polearm, from Naxx25. I went into Darnassus last night to snuff thier flame and killed the 2 alliance that tried to jump me. Thats why us warriors dont take off armor!

I never have the bag space to take off all my armor.

I didn't think dwarves ever took their armor off.
Of course those gnomes always seem to be looking for excuses to go streaking.

Funny comic, but WoW can depress me with just how little of my character is the warrior and how far my gear goes to define me.

I guess that is one of the things I liked about the AA system from EQ--even naked you could be a fairly bad ass warrior.

Naked in WoW and my character is well and truly pathetic.

It baffles me that so many people still play WoW. I tried so hard to get into it, but just about every other MMO I've played was more entertaining. Is it because it's such a casual experience? Is it because of all the great Chuck Norris jokes in Barrens chat? I just don't know.

Bit of a roleplayer myself.

Back when I was playing WoW doing this sort of thing I always wore a trash armour set, one I didn't really worry about repairing. Never really thought about it too much but would be the equivalent of donning an old pair of grungy shoes you keep outside only for yardwork. Somehow the wear and tear, stench of never being cleaned, and dread from having to actually put them is missed.
