Some of you may have noticed in the side info bar below your avatar there's a line called Fwang that's measured in inches. Well, I removed Post Counts from people's posts a long time ago and decided to correct the mistake. But I wanted to make them representative of what they seem to represent. They are our forum wangs. (1 post = 1 inch)

Fwangs aren't the only things changing about the forums though. I've also changed the Forum Rules. Now, there is only one. "Don't be a Jackass!" A good rule I think. Included in that change are some mentioned of what might lead you to be dubbed a jackass. Me? Yeah, I can be a jackass, but in a completely different way. It's my goal to improve the forum experience for people. Eliminating the jackasses would pretty much take care of that.

One of the other things I'd like to get accomplished is trimming some of the forum fat. Over the years the GU Forums have really let themselves go and have started to "spread out" if you know what I mean. So my goal is to tighten things up a little; merge some sub-forums together. Right now, the plan is to merge "It's Personal" into the "Special Forums" where they belong. I was also thinking of merging "Game Gurus" with the "Tech Forum" and calling it "Freakin' Help!" or something like that. OR... maybe just merging "Game Gurus" into the main "GU Forums" area since it IS supposed to be about all things gaming. Some kind of merging of "Call to Arms" and the "Who What Where" might also be in order. I'm not sure. Your opinions on the matter would be appreciated.

I'm also working on a community chat area tied to your forum accounts so there's only one login. This would give us all a place to hang out and jabber with one another. It might be tied into the main GU site as well. We'll just have to see how it goes.

Very interesting idea. As we push towards winter, will our fwangs shrink?

As a quick cash flow infuser, you could put a donate button next to the indicator...$1 per foot of fwang. Those with an inadequacy complex would be unable to resist.

You've been around (and active) for a long time. There are folks here that have longer Fwangs than mine and they're my durn forums. **grins**
