I think "crap" means drinks. (11/3)
Today is Dragon Age's release day. And it seems Ted has done everything he can to make sure he gets to play the game without interruption. I suspect some of you have gone a similar route. If not with Dragon Age specifically then with some game in the past. What I'm after here are your stories of holing up to play a game. Doesn't need to have been release day. Anything'll do.
Me personally, I've done plenty of marathon sessions of gaming. AD&D, Warcraft, Starcraft, EQ, WoW, Lego Star Wars. But having a job like mine, it's kind of expected. It's damn near a requirement. But, I never really prepare anything in advance. I forget to eat. I forget to drink. I basically turn into a gaming zombie, feasting on graphics and drinking gameplay. And hey Bioware, if you're reading this. Me and I'm sure a few others on the forums are a little short on cash at the moment. Hook a community up? Note: Bioware isn't reading this. ____________________ Today's Pimpage: Woody is wearing a "GEEK" shirt from Threadless.Com. |

I can't believe I'm jealous of a Gaming Comic persona.... Forget the game, I want to go to the spa.

When WoW came out, myself and a few others took leave and did pretty much what you described in your comic. Stocked up on food, severed communication with everyone else, and started the hours of play.
I've also had many long games of D&D... ohhh the good old days. |

OMG I WANT THIS GAME SO BAD! But I get paid on the 10th... HEY BIOWARE, listen to Woody
![]() Woody I love your comic. It has been my homepage since about 2002 and my EQ days. I used to hole up and group/raid 16 hours at a time but now that I play WoW I don't have to contribute that much of my soul to get things done :P With Dragon Age; however, I am seriously considering a "personal" day. May even send the wife to the spa... |

Being someone with no job, no school, and no roomates, spouses, relatives, pets, etc. living with me, it's not all that hard to "hole myself up" for gaming. Heck, I basically do it everyday naturally. And since this is a studio apartment, the food isn't really that far away if I forget to bring some with me. If I can take the 20 steps to the toilet, I can take the 10 steps to the food :P |

I have been looking at the game and it looks really good. The only issue I have is I don't think my computer will run it.

in my junior year of high school we had a pretty good D&D night... best group i was ever a part of. it was our last night of playing together for what we thought would be awhile (turned out to be forever) so we wanted the best out of it. only problem was i had school the next day. a miracle came when, at midnight, it started to snow. i kept my laptop at the table next to me and kept checking the school website. at about 1am the message came up that school was cancelled. we played into the night and finished it off with a great horror/comedy flick. good times.
