I popped into Rhino yesterday so my girlfriend could pick up Conker: Live and Reloaded and I could grab Destroy All Humans. And interestingly enough, as a promotion for the Alien Shoot 'em up Destroy All Humans, I was given a DVD of Ed Wood's Plan 9 from Outer Space. It's a completely terrible movie (one of the worst ever made), but it was really cool to actually receive the movie for free with the purchase of the video game.

Anywho, my retail pal Phil commented on the movie, which prompted store manager Brad to comment on the movie, which naturally progressed to me commenting on "They Saved Hitler's Brain", and of course, Uwe Boll.

I make no secret of my dislike of Uwe Boll's treatment of old game licenses translated into his crap excuses for movies. And worse yet this chucklenut has managed to get his hands on the BloodRayne license (this one I couldn't care less about really), and Dungeon Siege (which really kinda upsets me). Hopefully... someone somehwere will get a clue and stop Uwe Boll before he manages to turn Dugneon Siege into a space creature shoot'em up with 30 minutes of disassociated bullet-time scatted throughout the movie.

Anywho, I'll stop bitching about the man and bask in his warm glow...

I really, REALLY dislike Uwe Boll's work. He ranks up there with (some of) Quentin Tarentino's work, in terms of movies I dislike.

Something Awful has an article which is the story of someone who worked with Uwe Boll behind the scenes for Alone in the Dark. It's an interesting and funny read, but there's likely bad language (I haven't read the whole thing in awhile).

Now, I respect your opinion woody, but lets be honest here. Dungeon seige was just a video game, and in MY opinion, not a particularly great one at that. Who cares if some hack turns it into an equally lame movie? Its just $7.50 that will stay in my wallet when I'm not stupid enough to go see it.
