A myth sure... but still appropriate (9/12)
I really wanted to let the Warsong Gulch Terrain Exploit issue pass because I'm not interested in doing WoW strips right now. But, with enough emails and PMs I can be persuaded to do almost anything.
So, in an effort to stay as removed as possible, I'll post parts of Casey's email to more precisely fill you guys in on the reason for the comic: The reason I am writing is to submit a strip suggestion, in an attempt to get Blizzard off of their asses, in regards to the numerous posts on their forums over the last few weeks regarding terrain exploits in Warsong Gulch. This is even more relevant at the moment because we are in the middle of a WSG holiday weekend. I was thinking your poking fun at them over this would help draw attention to the problem. I'm no humorist, comic, or artist, but I was thinking a couple of "Blizzard" ostriches with their head in the sand oblivious to the problem and the aggravation it is causing their customers. Feel free to run with the idea, or ignore it altogether. I was just tossing this out there in attempt to at least force them to make an official policy regarding terrain exploits. Keep up the good work! Sincerely, Casey Thanks Casey! [ Full color coming as soon as possible. ] |

What timing... I slept til noon, and got treated to a fresh comic. And a good one!
(although, honestly, I don't remember any terrain exploit.. someone's gonna have to clue me in, unless that's a no-no.) |

<nods> Thanks Casey and Woody, this has been one of my biggest complaints with WSG and the alliance exploiting the ledge to help win captures.
I am not going to rant about it but I do hope it's fixed soon as in before burning crusades. -Unshra |

There is a ledge that takes a bit of careful jump-work, but once up there you are untargetable and out of reach for ranged attacks. The only way to know if they are storing thier flag there is to use a hunter to track them and send in a gank squad of rogues to eliminate the turtle.
As for details of it, I won't say exactly, some trolling thru the PvP forums is bound to find something blizz hasn't deleted yet. |

Yeah, I enjoyed this comic a lot. That horde terrain exploit in WSG sucks balls. It allows them an alternate way to return the flag that is not supposed to be.
Only once have I been pwned by a horde group using that exploit, but it was a damn close round either way. |

Note: Horde are not the only ones using the exploit. The majority of the PMs/emails I've received are complaining about Alliance side using it.

A widely enough used exploit becomes a tactic. Therefore, the people using the exploit currently are doing so as a semi-valid tactic. Not that it's right to use the exploit, but if they wait long enough to fix it, people will scream that they are taking away a valid tactic.

It sucks for both sides in that case, and that is even worse!
